At the Center of Rome was first class. The area was exceptional and comprable, we believe, to Park Avenue in NYC.
It was private, secure and no thought about being accosted on the street in such a nice area.
Our host, Maurice, was most accomodating, spoke passable English, gave us very helpful iformation about getting around Rome and was very hospital, as was his son, Georgio. However, Geroge didn't speak much English.
Maybe the best thing is that either of them were there most of the time, which was not the case at other B&B's we stayed with on our trip.
In short, we'd recommend At the Center of Rome to anyone who wants a first class B&B in Rome.
Sincerely, Janan and Lester Clark, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. ;n anecey ase, nofr andcooMau5tr

When we arrived, we located the receptionist after some comfusion. The room was clean and adequate. The breakfast was medicore and here was very little room to eat it in. There was NO service during our entire stay. The person who greeted us never appeared again. The youg lady who brought our breakfast spoke NO English! We had a very difficult time getting a taxi to come for us when we left. Luckily, we had made contact with someone else in Rome who helped us to navigate the city successfully. 'At the Center of Rome' needs to exclude any promises of help during your visit. the location was excellent. Ellie Bahns ... TRhere will be no help available!

A little bit expensive, but it's worth it. Friendly and helpful staff, nice area (it's really in the center of Rome - about 300 m from Vatican City and other touristic sites). Great!

Clear instructions were given to the B&B. The owner even attempted to order a taxi from the airport for us. Information was also provided on the city attractions. Very good service. ... The property was in a great location very close to the Vatican. ... Payment was made easy and the owner ordered us a taxi to the train station. ... The Voucher for Reservation suggested that payment cound only be made by cheque or cash but the B&B was also able to accept credit card payment. This should perhaps be mentioned on the voucher to avoid confusion. ... Ideal location. Friendly, helpful staff. Good facilities.

We wanted to leave our bags for the day as our flight wasnt until the evening. The maid very kindly organised this for us. ... A lovely little find. Small rooms but very reasonably priced. Fantastic and safe location. Great showers.

At first we had some problems with finding the street but then we did fine. ... At the Center of Rome did a really great job. it was just fine ... They even kept our suitcases for longer then needed, wich was erally kind of them. and really helpful. ... Maybe there should be a notice that the Bathrooms are a bit small if there are more then 2 people. For 2 people though it was fine. ... It was cousy and friendly. The people there treatet us nicely and were a great help with showing us the way to some places. All in all I can say it was great sty. And I will for sure come back

A little confusion on arrival night about room as I had wanted a room with two beds. But it was put right luckily. ... The rooms were cleaned and beds made every day. The lady who did this and made our breakfasts was very good and kind. ... We were allowed to leave luggage and given a front door key so we could collect when we wanted. This made our last day in Rome even better as our flight was not until the evening. ... None ... It was as we expected. Excellent value for money, private and in a very good location. We were able to walk everywhere. I liked the road it was in as although near sites you felt you were living with the local people.

our room was _much_ nosier than we had been led to believe, but given the overall quality and the people, worth it. But at least our room--the family room on the side street across from Franchi's--was qite loud at night. ... How charming the staff are? The easy food stuff right next door? The great market a block a way? ... cozy, convenient, and pretty cool; a very easy and nice place from which to play in Rome.

The pictures on the web site are for the large quadruple room. So when we checked in to a double room we were somewhat surprised to see how small the room was. ... Very nice place to stay with reasonable prices but very small double rooms. Very convienent location.

I love the place; however, the owner told us that the air-condition does not work in any room. Since air-contioing is the criteria that we used to choose the accommodation. We were quite disapponited. In fact, the owner should state that air condition does not work in any room. ... Positive (however, you should state if your air condition does not work because we feel like we were ripped-off) ... The place is really nice, private and safe.I strongly recommend a woman who travels alone because the area is safe and the place is safe. I bet people who stay in that area are upper-middle class people.

We enjoyed our room -- At the Center of Rome B&B. We especially liked the location and the quietness of the neighborhood. ... The voucher stated that we needed to pay in cash or check, but we were able to us our Visa -- the manager paid it through another property. Credit card was a must for us because we didn't bring all cash for the trip. The manager was quite helpful in getting this taken care of. ... I would stay there again. In fact, I am coming back to Italy next spring with some friends and will look for B&B places to stay through your website. Thanks for making it so easy. ... A quiet B&B in a nice neighborhood, good price, and helpful management. The room and bathroom were clean and roomy. Thanks for a great stay!

Need to be more informative as to the location. The 'Center of Rome' led us to believe that the train to the Center of Rome was the best route. Unfortunatly, it required us to find our way to the Vatican area ... (and managed to become a victim of one of Rome's famous pick-pockets. Welcome to Rome!).

Because it looks like most buildings around it, it is at first hard to find. Perhaps its Street number could be better highlighted. I would have liked to have stated on arrival where internet cafes/places were if near the B&B and that a fruit market was close by. ... It is very central. I would stay again. Very close to most of tourist Rome and some good restaurants. Price is reasonable. Very close to fruit market and cheap eateries if money is short. Some of the rooms were small but not tight, toilets/showers are good. Australians need to know that European showers have starnge hot and cold taps.
