Sant'Angelo is the smallest among the Romany quarters. It is located on the left bank of the Tiber in front of the Isola Tiberina, confines clockwise from north to the east districts of the Rule, Sant'Eustachio, Pigna, and Ripa Campitelli. A southwest overlooking the river. The territory of the district is flat and very low, before the construction of walls, was particularly susceptible to flooding of the river.
