We arrived a little late but Alessandro - the owner let our friends in that were waiting for us. In addition we were given a map and instructions on how to get around Rome. I wish all places were as accomadating, intelligent and helpfull ... I was impressed with the room, funky decore with comfortable bed. Bathrooms were great and well decorated. The plam trees that greeted us every morning as we opened are windows helped us forget that it was January ... Check out was a breeze with information about the cheapest way to get to the airport- great tip! ... Great place, Great Price, Great staff and all around a great place. the location although a little out of the way is not a big inconvenience. The area restaurants are cheap and good

Across the street is a coffee-shop. Verry nice! The people are verry polite. Our room was verry nice and quiet. We had breakfast in the garden. We enjoyed it verry much! ... the coffee-shop (Latteria) across the street ... A nice, small hotel in the centre of rome. It is quiet, because it is in the backyard. All rooms are different and have a special atmosphere. You can have breakfast or cappuccino in the courtyard, under the palms. It's like a quiet, peacefull island in the middle of the roman traffic, the tourists and the historical sights.

No looking for taxi and find the right way to hotel. This service was perfect. ... fantastic ... Hope to can go to this hotel for another time. ... We had more inside the room as thought for such a small money. ... A very quiet and calm hotel inside a capital city.

We were glad that we took Allesandro's advice regarding airport chauffeur pickup as I doubt that we would have found the property easily on our own. ... We were pleased at the size of our accommodation - it was really like an apartment, not just a room. ... We really checked out when we checked in - we paid Emanuel for the three nights and then simply left the keys in the room when leaving. ... I think you should mention that guests have to bring their own toiletries - soap, shampoo, etc. ... Excellent value - unique and most enjoyable. We will return.

We were very glad that we used the pickup service as there were 7 of us and it was cheaper than taking the train. I think that we would have been confused in getting there on our own, as no one in the group spoke any Italian. I think that the instructions given to us when we arrived and the map that was given to us were a great help in getting us around. I wish that all small hotels were as helpful. ... I loved Casa della Palma! It was a wonderful setting and had some great places to eat nearby. The metro was quite a walk away, but the bus serivce was great. The staff was alwasy helpful and even offered thier internet connection( which we ended up not needing)We would love to return to della Palma if we ever have the opportunity to return to Rome and will reccmmend it highly to any one we know who is travelling there. The rooms were much larger than we expected and very charming. We had a large room off the garden for 5 and so were able to use the garden for a relaxing visiting area and also to eat meals that we pciked up as we were in and out. We also had another room for two upstairs(The Nursery) that was a suite of rooms, which was very nice when I couldn't sleep one night and my husband still needed to sleep. ... Our check out was simple. As we had prepaid, we just left the keys in the rooms. ... Thiw was a wonderful little hotel with a charming courtyard. We felt like we had a taste of Rome when we stayed here. The university was nearby and so there were places to eat and lots of activity. The hotel was quiet at night. It had very clean rooms and offered internet access in the rooms that we had. We were a group of seven and they easily accomodated us. We would return in a heart beat! Diane

Matt, the manager, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He knew all the bus/tram stops in the area and where they would take us. ... The room was great. No complaints. We had a great time. I only wish that more businesses in the area were open when we were there, but that's what we get for going to Rome at Christmas time. We expected as much. ... We requested a driver for 3 persons with luggage. Though our luggage was a bit delayed at the arrival hall, our driver very patiently waited for us. ... Casa della Palma was a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Since the property is set back from the main street, the setting is very quiet and serene. ... We requested a taxi to transport us to the train station. Anouk made the arrangements and the taxi was very prompt. ... We had an incredible stay and enjoyed our time in Rome. One of the most amazing things about staying at Casa della Palma is that it allows travelers an opportunity to be among the locals and experience life as a Roman. I think an emphasis might be made to encourage travlers to choose the self-catering method, highlighting the many breakfast options nearby. We initially chose to include breakfast but upon arrival chose the self-catering. There is a small coffee/sandwich shop across the street that welcomes tourists and allows you to do 'take away' and return to your room, though we most often had breakfast on the wonderful patio located outside our room. Additionally, there is a 'super mercato' (grocery store) nearby where we bought various breakfast items and snacks. ... I would describe it as a beautiful and charming retreat, surrounded by an exciting unversity community (San Lorenzo). During our holiday through Europe, we traveled to Amsterdam, Rome, Naples and Sorrento. By far, Casa della Palma was our favorite accommodation.

Made to feel extremely welcome, and the member of staff at Casa Della Palma was extremely helpful throughout. ... Because I have been extremely pleased with the choice of accommodation, the fact that they are not run-of-the-mill, and I feel romeby.com provided excellent service and value for money. ... Quirky and original, in a peaceful setting that still manages to be convenient. A real hidden gem! It made our first visit to Rome even more of a treat.

Because we found a very nice hotel that was even cheap. And we could see on the map where the hotel is, what very important is, when you travel to Rome. ... With such a mask you can be sure that your reservation will be correct an you gave the right information. ... It was so nice, they informed us about all the things you have to know in a city like Rome. They gave us a map of Rome uncluding the main tram- and busnumbers and all the does and don´ts about the behavior and they told us what roman poeple do. All the information was very usefull for us. ... It should be recognized, that the contact is very personal (the hotel is very small). ... We could feel free and we got all information we needed. The hotel was clean and beautiful, our room was very big so we had enough space for everything.

Staff very friendly and helpful. A bit out of the way, but in a great area for cheap restaurants and cafes and easy to get into the center of Rome using the tram. Its not a plush hotel but it has everything you need, the rooms are all different with interesting pieces of furtiture and you get a real feel of Italy rather than staying with a large hotel chain where you could be in any city in any country. We enjoyed it so much we are going back next month!

They were friendly and polite. ... I would and indeed have already recommended them to my friends and work colleagues. I will even consider returning in the future.
... It might be a good idea to add the bus routes from Cassa Della Palma to the main attractions onto your website. ... Once you get past the scruffy facade on the rather over crowded street and go through the gloomy hallway. You arrive in a quaint courtyard with a beautifully restored building, offering a high standard of accommodation, with friendly people in a wonderful city.

It was very helpful, that our host gave us a map of Rome, showed us the way to the City and the most interesting sights by tram and by bus.
He also gave us very useful tips about the using of the traffic modalities. Without that, we would have had to seek evrything and find out the ways. But if you stay only for a Weekend its very important, not to waste much time on looking for the sights and take wrong busses or trams or so.
More than that, he gave us good tips about resaturants and bars around.
Very helpful.
... Very nice rooms, because they are not liek in in a big Hotel, much more personalyy furniture.
All very clean, modern and tasteful furnitured. ... Good sevice, he booked a taxi wth a fix price, so we knew the price before.
In Rome very important, because the normal taxi drivers take much too high prices from the tourists. ... No. ... Very personal sevice.
Very nice and creative furnitured rooms, Not too far from the center. Quite Good properties tu get tothe sights by bus and tram.
Big Rooms.
Very nice Welcome with very helpful Tips for your staym if you are the first time in Rome.
Its not an 'expensive area', where you stay. Its close to the university, and many students live there. So the bars and restaurants are much cheaper than in the center, but not less good.
To the center its about 15-20 minutes by bus.
Go there, you ´ll like it.

Big, clean and comfortable room with an own safe and a small fridge. ... We had to check out at 11.00 but we could leave our luggage in the room. ... Somebody who arrives at Ciampino should take the bus 'Cortral' (1€) to get to Ananigna an d then you have to pay additional 1€ for Metro AND Bus together, ... nice, clean room, pretty courtyard. everything around the corner, warm welcome

Matt, the Manager, was very accommodating and friendly and helpful. He prepared a lovely breakfast for us the day we were leaving and he even arranged a cheaper option hire car for us to take us to the airport when we had asked for a taxi. ... Very modern apartment and furnishings. Quite spacious and very clean. The bed was very high and had a metal surround which made it a little difficult to get out of. At first sight it's difficult to find the right building. Except for a very small sign with a palm and a name on it, there's no clear indication around of a B&B place, since the guestrooms are situated in an other building on the end of a quiet patio. One first has to pass a hall before arriving on the patio, which looked friendly with the palmtree and wooden gardentable + chairs. ... On the pictures on the website you only see the spacious rooms. If you get the small room, you may be disappointed. On The other hand, the rooms are made in a spartan, very personally and skillful way. A sort of 'designy' with a nice blend of old and new (building)materials, which we liked very much. Just like on the pictures! Water in the shower was dripping, halas, not flowing. The patio, entrance to the rooms are characteristic meditteranean. We liked this accommodation for the personal, private atmosphere, and his quietness. ... We paid in advance, so when checking out, we saw nobody and put the keys in the mailbox. ... + environment = student- and not touristdistrict with good restaurants with low and average prices, couple of café's, supermarket in the street + enough trams and buses around to bring you to the tourist-highlights - no rooms with a view, except for those looking over the small patio - a little bit far ... a friendly, peaceful 'designy' place in a common neighborhood full of eating-possibilities in a short distance. You may say: a peaceful oasis in a busy city always packed with tourists!
