We've had some unhappy hotel experiences in Rome; but our stay at Hotel Canada has changed our view of hotels convenient to Termini.

The reception desk arranged for our transportation to FCO--con un prezzo fissa. That was a blessing and a very enjoyable ride out of the city.

You might say a word or two more about the excellent breakfast offered at the Canada.
You might also indicate how many good recommendations (per esempio, for meals and transportation) the desk staff offer its guests.

This is a hotel right in the middle of the city, very near Termini, but it is quiet, our room was spacious, tastefully and originally decorated, comfortable, but above all the staff is eccellente! We stayed only one night, but we were treated like regular guests residing in the penthouse.

Staff were always polite and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and tea making facilities available on request. The breakfast was better than expected, everything that you could want was provided. The hotel lounge/bar was lovely and there were always some 'nibbles' on the bar, which was a nice touch. The hotel was recommended to us and we would certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to Rome.

warm welcome. Porter took our bags to our room and we were unpacking within 5mins of arrival at hotel.
Staff friendly at all times.........no complaints.....would use this hotel again given the opportunity.

We had to wait a few hours after checkout time before we were due to go to the airport....the staff let us use the lounge area to wait in and also kept our baggage safely under lock and key for us until our departure.

I couldnt describe it well. It had beautiful rooms, a beautiful bathroom with lots of toilet accessories to hand.....e.g. even a spare toothbrush in case of emergency....Fresh towels daily and lots of them. So clean in every respect.

Well located for travelling by bus,metro and train within Rome and to and from airports. Not the prettiest of locations but very practical e.g. lots of simple restaurants close by as well as the whole range of everyday shops for food ect

We used a limo service to get to the hotel from the airport as it was our first time in Rome and our arrival time was late (10 p.m.). We had asked twice via 'romeby.com' for the fixed taxi rate, as advertised, however received no reply. Probably the best way to arrange that would have been by calling direct to the hotel.

Every amenity was considered and provided - including slippers in the bathroom!
The bar downstairs was inexpensive and canapes were available with drinks.
This is a first class hotel - we would definitely return.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome, as it is only a 5 minute walk to the Termini. The breakfast room was very nice with an excellent selection of food.

the new rooms are fantastic. It is a wonderful integration of the old and the new. well done.
The breakfast is always a highlight of the day. I try and taste all on offer and devour the wonderful pot of coffee, served by the most efficient and friendly staff.
The bar snacks are also welcome with an aperitif prior to departing for dinner in one of the many restaurants in the area.

staff booked a competent taxi driver for me, who charged the regulated price fro the transfer and assisted me with my luggage. I was not required to do anything, other than get into the taxi!!

Highly recommended, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. My parents, my children, myself, we all love this hotel. I try adn stay there when I first asrrive in Italy and then return there for a night or 2, prior to returning to Australia. It is like home.

Met the owner, quite a charming man who added a great family touch to the stay.

I was extremely impressed with the room!! My only complaint is that the hotel did not have the air conditioning working. Maybe Italians do not consider it necessary in May, but coming from Canada, I have to say that I was warm during the night.

It is the best place to sit and have a drink in the afternoon after a day sightseeing (lounge/lobby/bar).
Prices are very reasonable and they provide complimentary small snacks.

The hotel and 99.9% of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The .1% of the staff was cordial but paled in comparison to the remainder of the staff. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The hotel was quiet. The breakfast area was beautiful, and the large food selection was wonderful. The bar/lounge area was very comfortable, and the wine very reasonably priced, including free snacks. We wish we had taken advantage of it more. The hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and the public transportation system. If you can, you might include in your description (if you did - I missed it) that there is a laundromat with Internet access right around the corner. Although the bathroom was ample size for our washed-out clothes (including the tub clothesline), I would have preferred doing all our laundry at once while checking my e-mail - a very convenient ammenity.
Your booking site with all of your hotel descriptions was very helpful to us and the booking process convenient and accurate. Thank you for an informative and easy process that made our stay in Rome very nice. I would highly recommend your site AND highly recommend the Hotel Canada in Rome.

We requested wake up calls and a cab ready for us and it was there on time and clean and efficient. Very reasonable price for trip to airport.

All in all a fair value and good experience. The bar had complimentary snacks and reasonably priced beverages in the afternoon/early evening with comfortable sofas and chairs. The staff provided nice recommendations for close by dining. The breakfast was hot, good and plentiful, but lacked fresh fruit. I would stay there again.
