The housekeeper who showed us our room went out of her way to be nice to us, and she had a wonderful way about her that made us feel welcome. ... The breakfasts were excellent, the kitchen staff were so courteous and the coffee was the best! The front dest staff were so helpful recommending restaurants, and giving us directions to points of interest. ... They got us a taxi right away for the train station and always had a smile on their faces for us. ... The Vatican is only meters away, and we didn't realize it was so close. Also, from Hotel Bramante, we walked everywhere. ... A quaint little boutique hotel nesstled into a quiet neighborhood only meters fromthe Vatican. We loved walking the narrow, cobblestone streets of Rome that surrounded our hotel. Also loved the newly renovated, very clean rooms and great bathrooms.

The hotel was unexpectedly quiet and the little courtyard outside was a real bonus, especially in Rome. ... We did have an issue with the charge for our airport pick up - the price quoted had risen in the period between our booking and our stay. This was dealt with extremely well by the hotel staff and we were delighted with their attentioon to our somewhat tentative enquiry as to the anomaly. ... We would reccommend it unhesitatingly to anyone wanting to stay in the area near St Peter's. Any requests we made of staff - ideas as to where to eat out etc. or tours were dealt with pleasantly and efficiently. All staff were happy and cheerful, willing to help in any way.

The hotel had offered us the opportunity of being collected at the airport by car (at our expense), so we had no need of directions. It was worth the added expense to arrive in air-conditioned comfort. ... The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the facilities could not be faulted. ... Staff efficient and helpful. ... Only that its location is further from some of the sites than first time visitors to Rome might expect. It is, of course, perfectly situated for St Peters and the Vatican. Contrary to some comments that I saw on-line, English is spoken. ... We were extremely pleased with our welcome. The receptionist knew who we were when we walked in the door. Not only did he show us around the charming hotel and get us settled, but also pulled out a map of Roma for us and shared all the places we'd want to visit (...it was the first trip to Italy for both us gals) and gave us the inside scope on shopping and staying safe during our site seeing. Right away it felt as if we were staying at the home of friends and family. ... We orginally tried to find a hotel closer to the the center of the city, and some friends who knew Roma thought we might be disappointed staying in this section of the city, but we thought it worked out great being only a few blocks from the Vatican. It was lively during the day, but quiet at night and felt very safe. We were able to get in line early for the Vatican sites being a two minute walk away. Also catching an open air touring bus without waiting was another added perk. (As we took the bus around the city, the more popular tourist hotel areas had very long lines to board the buses!) Finally, there were some great little cafes with wonderful food right around the corner.
We look forward to staying at Hotel Bramante the next time we travel to Roma and would recommend it to our own friends and family. ... The day before we were to leave, the desk offered to make our limo arrangements to the airport for the next morning and everything went smoothly. ... Hotel Bramante is a elegent charming little hotel where you are treated like family. They take very good care of their guests!

I loved walking past the furniture restoration shops on the street and seeing the artisans at work, it only added to the charm of Hotel Bramante. I wish I could have purchased a fine old piece of furniture to bring home with me. ... Hotel Bramante was recommended to us by friends who had stayed there. I was so busy in Rome I wish I had a longer stay at the Bramante so I could have enjoyed the little interior patio or shop in the furniture restoration shops on the same street. Although I haven't traveled out of the United States often, I must say it was a good value for the money since Hotel Bramante was highly recommended to us by good friends who are world travelers.

The staff was very helpful in giving us advice about setting up transfers for the next leg of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. Antonio, at the front desk, was so helpful and really went beyond our expectations to help us set up necessary transportation. He is an exceptional 'ambassador' for Rome and the Hotel Bramante. ... The Hotel Bramante is like finding a slice of authentic Italy in the shadow of a very sacred site, the Vatican. It is tucked away behind the ancient walls that once defined the city borders. The quaint streets surrounding the Bramante are quiet and mostly filled with locals, not tourists, although heavy tourist traffic is only one block away.
