The front desk people were very helpful in suggesting good restaurants, and other local advice that saved us from tourist traps and ensured we enjoyed the stay. Room allways well cleaned. Some fittings damaged or not working well, but this is Italy ! Not a problem ... They arranged car to airport, very high quality and efficient ... Rooms nest to road are noisy, rooms at back much quieter. ... Superb location, good quality, clean rooms etc, helpful and well-informed staff.

We arrived after check in andd had to wait for an hour for room availability. The convienet location advertised is only to collesium and forum. A very long hike for other areas. Rome does have good transpoortation system/ ... Breakfast cereal was left out each night in an open bown without any covering also the hard boiled eggs. Replacement cereal was added to the bowl already 1/2 full, no idea how long the bottom half was sitting out. Obviosly we did not eat either. ... Everything well organized even had transport to airport waithing at 5 am. Cost to airport 50 euro, which was good value. Not like the rip off from the cabbie who drove us the five blocks from train station via circuitour route and charged 37 euro. ... Hotel very energy efficient. With lights controlled by departure. Unfortunately, we didn't know until the 2nd day that they shut off the air conditioning from lobby during night and during day when they thought you were out. After complaint was told air was not good fpr you. They did turn on, but you had to tell each new deskman. ... I would not reccomend the hotel, too many negatives.

Fabio helped check us in and was very helpful. He explined to us how to catch the subway to and directions and also provided us with a map of Rome showing us where the major sites were. He was very friendly and accomodating. ... The hotel is on a busy street; it is a bit loud but the rooms had sound proofed windows. The bathrooms were the largest we stayed at in Italy. Very clean room and great locale. ... Great location. Clean, spacious rooms (by comparison of other places we stayed in Italy) and friendly, helpful staff. A little pricier than some of the other spots but well worth it. I would stay there again.

Was not comfortable leaving passports with reception for 2 hours while they logged info into database. If this is protocol then it should be spelt out on website. ... Handy and Functional. A good base to be in but dont spend too much time in the hotel. Breakfast is crap - go 100m down the road for Italian experience.

Close to Roman ruins and train station. The staff is indifferent, neither rude nor welcoming. The rooms are a bit ragged and the breakfast is poor. ... Borromeo shuts off the air-conditioning each night from 11pm until 6am, which makes sleeping comfortably impossible. The room and hallways became very hot. They will not admit that they do this but I confirmed it with others staying there. ... Close to Roman ruins and train station. The staff is indifferent, neither rude nor welcoming. The rooms are a bit ragged and the breakfast is poor.
