greeted very warmly, with an attitude of wanting to do anything to make our stay comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay there. Everyone on staff was very helpful, went out of their way to help and was generally very accomodating.
The rooms were very clean and well kept.

A simple, well-kept hotel, very clean and spacious. Staff all very polite and helpful. Very close to the Vatican - within walking distance. Very reasonable rates for accomodations. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it highly to everyone.

Elizabeth and the others were very helpful and accommodating. We are so sorry that a few people marginally attached to our group made a lot of trouble for Elizabeth and Borgo Pio with mixups about transportation and other issues.
Regarding arrival, it was difficult to be unloaded from the bus onto another street with all our luggage.

We found the beds to be uncomfortable, especially the sofabed our friends needed to use in the other bedroom in our suite. Our bed was rather hard and unyielding, but their was extremely uncomfortable, with the sofa's metal parts pressing into their backs and other body parts. The sofabed needs an auxiliary mattress--perhaps an innerspring mattress or three inches of viscoelastic foam, not regular foam.

It would be helpful if guests who leave via large bus did not have to haul their luggage up an incline to another street. Perhaps Borgo Pio could have large buses stop in a parking lot elsewhere and transport the guests and luggage back and forth in a van. Guests could wait their turns comfortably in the bus or the lobby instead of outside in hot sun, rain, or cold weather. Arrival and departure was difficult for elderly and/or handicapped guests because the bus could not go down to the door of the hotel, due to narrow streets.

Good value for the area, nice staff, beds he or she might find uncomfortable. I would warn them that the elevator does not stop on the lobby level or the office level and that they will have to go up and down short flights of stairs because of this--with luggage.

Excellent - pick up at airport was a terrific plus and the rate was very reasonable

Additional two pin adaptors for electric sockets would be useful ony one between the two interconnected apartments. Electric sockets to boil a kettle were not close to the cooking facilities and kettle had to be put on the floor, bit dangerous.
The sofa bed in the small kitchen area was not the most comfortable, might be wear and tear as the other fold out was very comfortable, unfortunately I got the uncomfortable one - not a complaint but something you might want to check.

Laurie was very helpful and left contact numbers so that we could connect with her booking of a taxi for the airport. The taxi's arrived on time and were very courteous. Also we appreciated the fact that we did not have to leave the apartment at 12 noon, which allowed us to have a very full last day in Rome.

One suggestion would be that you might put some promotional leaflets in the apartment on mass times @ St Peters Basilica.
Also why not put a large map in the hall with a pin point saying ' You are here'

Great place, clean, friendly and well located. Excellent restaurants and eateries of all kinds, with a very nice local bar in Nuovolari. Have already recommended Borgo Pio to some of my friends and would definetly go back again.

We were very glad that Borgo Pio arranged for a transfer from the airport and so had no need of directions. We were brought right to the door.

The rooms were lovely, airy, fresh and clean. The bed was nice and firm, the bathroom was beautifully tiled and immaculate. It was nice to have a kitchenette where we could make a cup of tea or coffee. We loved the bacony and the view.

We were enchanted with the balcony and the view of St. Peter's dome. The location was especially nice because the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, even though it is only two blocks from St. Peter's and the Vatican, and an easy walk to all the sights of Rome. We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Borgo Pio and would recommend it to anyone very enthusiastically.

Our room accommodated 2 people, so we had a bedroom with a king size bed, a full kitchen and bath with a foyer....plenty of room for 2 people. Much nicer than just a hotel room.

A converted palazzo with spacious rooms, clean and well run, in a wonderful Roman neighborhood with all amenities very close. Proximity to the Vatican was a big plus. A great value for the money, much nicer than a crowded hotel room.

We were very pleased with the staff, the quality of the accommodations, and the very convenient location. We were also glad to have access to the laundry room and computers, but it would have been helpful if these areas were open later in the evening. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will recommend Borgo Pio to friends.

This appartment was the best. It was extremely clean and quiet. The apartment was spotless and the linens were brand new. The furniture was almost brand new as well.
The location was perfect, it was very close to St. Peter's square and extremely quiet. It is not often that you get convenience and quiet.

The Receptionist arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport which was very much appreciated.

It was very convenient to the Vatican City and to Rome and had the additional advantage that it was in the old part of the city but yet close to open spaces along the river.
We were there for a family wedding and included members from around the world who all enjoyed staying together at Borgo Pio.

The receptionist welcomed and showed us the appartment and everything related to the appartment, event she showed us the direction to the closest stores (which is just behind the building!)

We have A/C, water cooker & baby cot without extra charge! Certaintly, we will stay in that appartment again if we go to Rome.

Elisabetta and Lori of the Borgo Pio arranged Limo service for my group from the Rome airport to the Borgo Pio upon our arrival on April 16. They also arranged transportation from the lodging to the Carnival cruise terminal on April 19 and again, on May 1, from the Carnival terminal to the Rome airport. For this, we were eternally grateful.

Everything about the Borgo Pio exceeded our expectations. And there were 28 people in my group. Check-in was quick and very efficient.

Check-out was a breeze. Additionally, because our Limo was actually a bus too large to pull up in front of the Borgo Pio, we had to carry our baggage about one block. Lori was very helpful with the luggage and accompanied us to the Limo were she instructed the driver about our destination.

The entrance was actually on the Borgo Vittorio. But with asking directions it was easy to find. No problem finding the next time.

Spacious,comfortable and clean. Very central, excellent for Pilgrims, sightseeing and shopping. We were a family group with people who were elderly and the building had a lift which was very useful. Also close to restaurants, as well as having the alternative to cook for children in its own Kitchen. We also rented 2 apartments and were accomodated by having them together!

sometimes it was noisy during the night..but maybe only because we went to bed to early;-))
it was a real pleasure, we enjoyed the location (very near to all ultural sites), the quality of the apartment, the politness of staff
it was a very good quality/price rate

as I said sometimes in the night people from other apartments got a little bit noisy, maybe because of the thin walls we could hear them talking, laughing etc.
But I do not regard this as such a negative aspect, we could live with that.

I would definitely reccomend it to anyone staying in Rome.

but 1 street over. Our taxi driver knew but
our friends who came to visit had some
confusion.

The location was nearby Bolgo Pio street and was very convenient for daily shopping and dining. At the same time, the room I stayed was isolated from the noise outside and was very quiet atmosphere.

The location was just between San Pietro and Castle San Angelo. The access to other histrical monuments was also very convenient by bus, tram or metro.

There was no one in reception when we arrived, however we rang the bell and someone came straight away, however I would advise that you state in the booking that no one will be on reception after 6pm and to be prepared to call the number provided. I think it was more luck than judgement that someone was there.

I suggest having more than one working washing machine and dryer for all the apartments to share. I tried several times to wash my clothes but was never able to because there was already several people waiting to use the one washing macine (it took about an hour per cycle). The laundry rrom also closeed at night sothere was no chance of doing laundry in the evening.

The staff is extremely helpful and they speak several languages (Italian, Spanish and English -- that I know of). The area is ideal for families as it is quiet and there are several family style restaurants around the corner on Borgo Pio. The views of the Vatican at night (which you can walk to on a nightly basis) are brethtaking.

Manager was very helpful and pleasant. The car that we had arranged for did not arrive, she tracked it down that no car had been sent, so we had to make alternate arrangements to get there.

The taxi service provided by the hotel was wonderful. They picked part of our group up from the airport and they checked in with ease. But, it was very difficult for the other half of our group to check-in. We had to ask a person in the lobby where to find the office since it is not clearly marked. When no-one answered there we asked the same person and were informed that one of the office staff lived in the building. We rang the bell and finally found someone to let us check-in. It would not have been such a problem if we were not traveling with two elderly people.

We read the location on the website but were not prepared for how wonderfully close we would be to Castel Sant Angelo or St.Peter's. The shops and food in this area were also great. This is a superb location for seeing all of Rome. We actually walked to the Forum area from Borgo Pio.

I think it would be very useful if there was details and directions to the nearest supermarket and small shops to enable tourists to purchase milk,bread etcon their arrival.

I would say it was a clean spacious fairly basic apartment in an ideal location.It is suitable for all ages and if I was to return to Rome i would re-book the Borgo Pio apartments.

The receptionists themselves weren't there, but a 'weekend boy'. He was very friendly but seemed in a hurry and didn't offer any infromation unless asked.

Unfortunately it was very noisey due to a group of American residents who shouted and banged at various times. There was also a lot of late night noise (until 1.30a.m.)from young people who gathered around a fountain at the back of the building, which was just outside our bedroom window.

The only complaint I would have is regarding the water pressure in the upstairs shower. It was barely a trickle.
