By plane: Rome has two international airports in the suburbs, Fiumicino (international flights usually land here) and Ciampino (featuring national connections). They are both easily connected to central Rome, reaching Termini station by several means of public transport.
By car:
- Fiumicino is located at a distance of 30 kilometres from Borgo Pio 64 B&B (a 30 minutes drive). As you get out of the terminal, take the A91 and A90 highways and get off at exit 1. Continue along road SS1 and turn right in Via Aurelia. Veer left in Via Angelo Emo, right in Via Leone IV and again in Via Plauto. Turn right in Borgo Pio and you will come to the property on foot.
- Ciampino airport is located at a distance of 34 kilometres from the lodging (it is approximately a 30 minutes drive). Take roads SS7DIR and SS7, then A90 highway and follow the directions already described.
By train: As you arrive in Fiumicino terminal, you can reach Termini railway station on several services: from there you can connect to the underground network - line A - and get off Ottaviano San Pietro station, placed only 400 metres from the inn. Once you come out of San Pietro station, walk along Via Silla, take Via Stefano Porcari and turn right in Via Plauto.
If you reach Ciampino airport, you can take the Sitbusshuttle, which leaves you off on Via Marsala, near Termini station, in 30 minutes. |
