Accommodations
|
 Our apartment is in Via Dandolo, that from Trastevere climbs winding on the Gianicolo. It is on the attic floor and the penthouse level (second and third floor, without lift)of a 20th century building that was recently restored. It is an apartment that we restored with love and with respect, preserving where possible floors, stuccos and age fixtures and then enriching it with our passion for the fifties, sixties and seventies, playing with black and white, with pieces of furniture, objects, vintage and family pictures. |
 It is a large apartment, with two magnificent terraces facing Rome (the highest "torrino", the sunniest one, has two comfortable coaches to take the sun), that sees fully the roman seasons: from the burning summer, like an oasis of green in the middle of the city and with full view of the city; to the solar winter with the bare plane trees and an even better light in which to admire Rome and beyond, until the Castelli Romani. |
 We reserve our hosts a whole part of the apartment: the attic composed of: three large double rooms (each one dedicated to a famous Italian actress: Loren, Magnani or Vitti), each with a closet and private bathroom (only Loren in the room). To Magnani room can be added a single bed. |
 In Vitti room (that has a balcony beyond a window) there is also a double sofa-bed. Magnani and Vitti appear on Via Dandolo and enjoy a beautiful view of Rome. The room Loren opens its two windows on Villa Sciarra (one of the most evocative public parks of Rome) and on the gardens surrounding. |
 Our rooms are spacious and well lit, with high ceiling with stuccos, and are furnished with taste, our taste, always inspired by the fifties, sixties, seventies, and by the Italian cinema and music of those years. For this we have dedicated them, also with photographs and books, to three icons of the Italian cinema of that period: Sophia Loren, Anna Magnani, Monica Vitti. |
 In each room there is an air conditioning system. There is also a central heating for the area reserved to Bed and Breakfast. The three bathrooms have a comfortable shower, and one of them, very large, offer to our guests the opportunity of a great bathtub for hydro massage. |
