We took a taxi from the airport, arranged by the B & B. Very efficient, if a little expensive, though we were charged the agreed rate.

We were accidently charged for an additional day and were told that we could not receive a refund since we paid with credit card.
The room was smaller than it appeared to be in the online photo, however, it was sufficient.
The airline lost our luggage. We had the receptionist phone the airline to arrange for delivery. She told the airline that she was not there after 2:00 PM every day (which in fact she returns around 4:00 PM), so we had to wait an extra day for our luggage to be delivered because there was not somebody staffed at the desk. We phoned the airlines ourselves and discovered our luggage had indeed arrived, but was not scheduled to be delivered because of this.
The receptionist was VERY nice, pleasant and helpful when the owners of the B&B were there the last few days. Prior to their arrival we were told to hang a sign on the door if we wanted the room cleaned. After their arrival, the room was cleaned automatically.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The coin phone in the lobby did not work, so there was no phone access in the B&B the entire time we were there. There was no way for the airline to contact us directly (no phones in room, as stated in description).
Again, pleasant stay, however, next time I think we are staying at a regular hotel.

It's a great place if all you want/need is a bed. It's very conveniently located by the Colosseum and Metro. The BEST restaurant is LeNaumachie located very close. Don't expect overly friendly service from the staff unless the owners are around, and also don't expect the staff to be around all the time as in American B&B's or hotels.

It was quaint, clean, and perfect for just crashing at night then getting up and running around all day. I wouldn't want to have spent any time in the room at all. Even asking questions about local areas was quite difficult as the receptionist was not very forthcoming. We gave up and found stuff on our own. We were surprised to be told they accept credit cards, but then she was quite persistant to receive cash. Then, when we discovered we inadvertantly paid for an extra night, she told us that she could not give us a refund because we paid with a credit card.
There are much nicer places for equivelent prices or cheaper to be found.

We could not have asked for a better B&B, when we booked we were under the impression well it is only £30 a night per person so cant complain and in reality it was alot better than most £60 a night bed and breakfasts

Even closer to all the sights than we imagined and we were made to feel very much at home by the very friendly receptionist.

We were allowed to leave our bags until the last minute which was really helpful as our flight was late in the day, we were running late and as a weekend didnt risk finding our own way to the airport so had the receptionist arrange a taxi which was great .

Really good place to have quiet stay very central and close to sights . lovely friendly staff.
Breakfast could be so much nicer if it had fresh bread etc instead of prepackaged everything but the coffee was delicious and company of the very friendly helpful receptionist who served us was great.

I promised that I will recommend the Colosseum B&B to all my friends who are going to visit Rome. It's all you need when you visit Rome. Near to the city centre and all facilities. Good value for money! Nice and tidy rooms and a very nice lady as receptionist!!!!!!!!!!

We were an hour late arriving but as promised we were met at the B&B. Everything was explained in full about our stay etc and we were then left to enjoy our evening.

Because we were a party of seven there were only three en-suite rooms so in fact we had the B&B all to ourselves, which was fantastic. We had front door keys so that we could come and go as we pleased. Carolina was brilliant, very, very helpful and also full of useful information we proberbly wouldn't have got anywhere else, she's a great asset to the Colosseum B&B.

The only problem we had was that when I booked our accomodation I assumed that I had paid for the accomodation, only to be told upon arrival that the receipt was for confirmation only. We had a great deal of trouble trying to get money out of the cashpoint machines from our debit cards, apparently this is a big problem for foreigners in Italy, most cashpoints only give money to Italians.

Could it be made a little clearer that you pay for your accomodation upon arrival and that it can be very difficult to get money out of a cashpoint machine in Italy. They do not give money from your cards over the counter, as we do in England.

A unique private house very well situated for many sites and if you did want to travel further(as we did) the underground at the Colosseum is very close by.

Superb restaurant nearby.. I forget the name but turn left out of the B&B and it's down the second road on the left.

I was amazed, that 4 inquiries were followed by 7 or 8 offers... interesting kind of dispersion.

the receptionist was so kind to clean and prepare the room although we arrived early in the morning

The receptionist helped out with extra tips (public traffic, opening hours) and even prepared twice an early mrning breakfast.
So all in all a very convenient stay.

The B&B, especially in this location, connects the near of seights / bus or tram stops with the opportunity just to relax.

I was given the impression the room would have en suite bath. Now the bath was at the other end of the corridor, which my woman did not apreciate very much.

We used a taxi so found the accommodation easily. The receptionist was helpful and gave us her mobile number as well for any assistance. I would certainly use this apartment again as it is well situated and close to everything.

As we wanted to leave very early on the morning of 1st August, as we had a plane to catch, we needed to make contact to pay for the apartment but were unable to find anyone there. Carolina had that day off so we had to leave the money in an agreed place in the apartment. I rang her on her mobile to explain the problem and we agreed that was the best thing to do. She then emailed to say she had received it.

Perhaps you should include that someone is not living there and that someone is there only during working hours. However, this is not a problem as hotels usually have someone on the desk but not always.

An older style apartment with everything you need. I would have liked to have opened the front shutters but couldn't get them open. It is located right near the Colosseum and the train station and there are dozens of restaurants, internet, supermarket, cafes and other shops just a few metres away. It has a great little balcony which overlooks others back yards but is nice to sit out on a hot night. The apartment is quite small but serviceable. It has an updated bathroom but the hot water runs out if you have any more than a quick shower! I dont know how 5 people could shower there! But as it was summer, it didn't matter to us.
The air-conditioning is wonderful and it was great to be able to return to the apartment in the afternoon and have a rest in the cool weather. The kitchen could do with an oven however it is adequate.
We had tea making facilities and everything such as linen was provided. For the traveller who wants a base in Rome it is ideal as it is so easy to get to by Metro. I hope to stay there again.

they (you) mentionned about the room for four persons, here should be two dubble beds. In fact, there was one dubble bed and a combination of two single beds obove each other. Thas was (is) not correct.

There were only two concerns...
We had to ask for linen and towels....they were changed daily....
and the room was 'sprayed' with some kind of airfresher that was not very good....
I loved the location and the rooms... I will probably stay again at the same place...
breakfast was satisfactory.... and the price was good....

I did not see the 'fine print' regarding the payment... I thought when I had confirmation of the room with my AMEX card that it also had paid for the rooms.... it was not clear until I was asked for 'cash payment' that I thought something wasn't right. I had to look again at my email to see exactly how the room charge was covered...

It was very nice and comfortable that there was a service for transport to the airport. The owner brought us by car.

A nice safe place to stay in the center of Rome, from where you can walk into the city.
The girl who took care of everything was very nice and made us feel comfortable. There where nice restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Collosseum B & B is a nice little pension and very central. You can arrive the most of the sights very quickly and around the pension are a lot of good restaurants where you can spend your time for dinner.

My wife and I were welcomed warmly by Diana. She made us feel immediately and completely at home. She is always cheerful and helpful.

In fact, both checking in and checking out were very easy and stress free. We felt, when we left, that were were saying good bye to a friend.

An important detail for tourism : by pure chance, barely one hour before we left, and thanks to a friendly Roman, we discovered the jewel of Basilica San Clemente which is just round the corner. It would be well worth mentioning.

It should have been emphasized more that payment was to be made in cash only. It was almost a HUGE problem for us, as we assumed that we could put it on our credit card and did not notice the small sign. I think most tourists make the same assumption. We had to look for ATM machines the final days and 'save up' euros to check out with.

The service was very good. During our stay, only 2 of 4 rooms were booked. The kitchen is quite small, so if all rooms are booked there might be a bit of waiting time for breakfast.
We were provided with a free Roma tourist brochure that was very helpful regarding bus and metro lines.
Also, there is a small library with Roma tourism information and all kinds of magazines that guests left for others.

I believe this is the best place to stay in Rome for a couple of days:
- it is really very close to the Colosseum.
- the room rates are much better than average.
- Also, it is only 15 min walking from the main train station,
- and it is definitely really quiet at night.

The staff were extremely helpful. Several days we had to leave earlier than the scheduled time for breakfast and they arranged to have all the breakfast food and coffee available ahead of time. They also arranged a car to take us to the airport which was a wonderful experience.

Carolina organised a suttle for us from the airport which worked really well. She also waited at the B&B untill we arrived and then took time to explain the way to the Vatican which we wanted to visit early the following morning. We were really impressed

we really enjoyed our stay in the Colosseum B+B. Elsa was very nice and gave us the impression to be friends in her house. We appreciated having our own bathroom and the location of the B+B is wonderful as the Colosseum and the Forum Romanum are only a few minutes away.

9. The service was very friendly and welcoming.
We were upgraded to a very nice appartment and had an enjoyable stay. However, the electrical plugs were a little loose and it was therefore difficult to obtain light from the bedside lamps. Also there were no spare light bulbs to replace those that were no longer working. It may also be time to upgrade the shower. We appreciate that this is probably not usually used by the B&B and we were very pleased to be accommodated in the appartment.
