The hotel had their driver pick us up at Leonardo da Vinci airport in Fiumicino. He cheerfully waited for us for over half an hour, since the airline's baggage handling was excruciatingly slow. We paid far less than the cost of a cab and had a wonderful ride with a charming, courteous and helpful driver.

Hotel Barberini is a fine, high quality hotel. Their standard breakfast (included in the room charge) gave us a great selection of rolls, cereal, cheeses, meats, juices, coffee, eggs and just about anything one could want -- all with cheerful, attentive service.
Our room was immaculate and nicely furnished, but somewhat smaller than I would have liked, particularly since we had to navigate around our luggage.

This hotel has a great location in the heart of Rome that makes it easy to walk to dozens of places you might like to go from the Spanish steps to the Trevi Fountain to the American Embassy or the Borghese Gardens with its lovely park and sensational Villa Borghese gallery. There's a decent restaurant right next door and more nearby. We also loved the view and the atmosphere of the rooftop bar.

We've spent a lot of time in Rome. We found the Barberini to be personal and comfortable with everything first quality, particularly the service by everyone from the reception desk to the bell captain to waiters and barmen.

Our checkout was complicated by a change of time due to a strike at Rome airport. The Desk manager assisted us to sort out alternative flights and ensure our safe departure.

I have described it as the best Hotel of it's type that I have used. I am very used to Hotels from my business life and know how difficult it is to find perfection. In the Barberini my wife and I found it, Thank you all.

The hotel was lovely and very well situated. The staff was terrific - the rooms were immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised at the appearance of the hotel. Our room was not large, but it was certainly large enough to be very comfortable for 2 people.

I have told many people that the location was great!! We were happy to be able to walk to so many of the places that we were interested in seeing. There were plenty of places within walking distance for meals and snacks. The staff went out of their way to help us with whatever we asked of them.

Beautifully decorated hotel, right in the middle of historic Rome. 3 minutes walk from Trevi fountain and excellent restaurants/shops all around. A great place to stay in Rome.

The hotel needs to mention that when your keycard is taken out of the slot in your room, not only do the lights go off, but so does the hot water in the bathroom. My husband left the room and took the card, as I was heading to the shower. But no hot water!

Good location for walking to many of the special places in Rome, such as the Spanish Steps and Trivi Fountain. A very short taxi ride to the train station. The hotel is small and personable and in very good condition.

I experienced 28 wonderful days at the Hotel Barberini - The entire staff from Housekeeping to the front desk were wonderful - polite and helpful - the breakfast banquet was beautiful and so well prepared also with great service - my needs were anticipated in every aspect of the hotel stay.
I have traveled extensively and this was my second visit to Roma and I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and the staff.

You show the garden room but not the buffet which is a picture in itself.
Rooms did not have an Internet connection, however there was a computer in the lobby for quests to use.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We arrived around 10:30 pm and and staff member who was just going home stayed to help us with our luggage.

Staff made dinner reservations for us several times. Their recommendations for places to eat were very good.
Rooms are very nice especially the bathrooms.
Didn't realize it was remodeled so recently, still looks brand new. Our room was very quiet, I think they had double pane windows which really help keep the noise level down.
Beds were a little firm for our liking but that is our only complaint.
Location is excellant! Breakfast buffet was very good, could even order cappachinos.

We loved staying at Hotel Barberini. The staff were wonderful - attentive, courteous, and cheerful. Our room was absolutely immaculate. The location was nice, in a quiet area but fairly close to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Via Veneto. We booked this at the last minute because other plans fell through and were extremely happy with it.

I do not think your site gave Barberini enough credit. The place is much more beautiful than your site described or showed. I thought your site was extremely user friendly and offered WONDERFUL prices, but it does not provide very descriptive summaries/pictures of the hotels.

Our room was quite small compared to that shown in your photos. I was able to see another room on our last day and realised we were in a very small corner room.

Welcoming, homely and friendly. Lovely breakfast. Spirits were expensive but wine cheap and nice. Very comfortable but try not to get a corner room.

The room (junior suite) was really too small for four people, even though the hotel had advertised that it was appropriate for four and booked my family of four for the room.
Also, we were very hot in the room because it was early April and they did not have their A/C system on yet. We couldn't open the windows at night because the street noise kept us up -- so it was very hot at night and we didn't get a lot of sleep.

Make sure to tell people that the A/C isn't switched on in April and it is quite hot in the hotel. Windows can be opened to cool the room during the day but not at night because the street noise is too loud and you can't sleep. So you are either hot or bothered by noise.

Clean hotel that is well-located and with a very helpful and pleasant staff, but too hot to stay there in April before they put their A/C on.

We changed accomodations since we thought we were getting a bigger room. I don't think it is clear as to what the size of the room is when you make your reservations on line, especially because European hotels are so different than the US- in size and description.

Hotel was very nice overall, except for 2 things: 1. the bed itself was very hard, couldn't sleep at all the first night. and 2. no iron available. Other than that, it was a good hotel.

Called to arrange for a taxi night before as it was an early rise to get to the airport, and woke up to realize we were 'too late' in arranging one, and we'd have to wait for a half hour. Should have told us we were too late the night before so that we could have made alternate arrangements.

Hardness of mattress was a turn off. But very nicely furnished room and bathroom. Sound proofing was great from the outside, but the interior walls were pretty thin. Roof top terrace only open at night, which is too bad.

Good quality hotel in a good location in Rome - close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Haven't stayed anywhere else in Rome to compare, but wouldn't mind staying there again.

It would have been nicer to have more English speaking T.V. channels. The cooked breakfast and selection was poor. Food was geared more to the American style breakfast. No traditional toast! Poor selection of room service /lounge menu. The best part about this hotel is the location and cleanliness of the rooms.
