The representative by the name of Jimmy who greeted us was very warm, receptive and informative. he gave us valuable information about the city, the transportation and where we could eat that evening of our arrival. ... Most of the staff at Residence Aurela Antica were very warm, friendly and helpful. They made the stay there very enjoyable. The location is also very convenient to most of the popular parts of Rome. ... Very efficient ... Cable television, addapters that are compatible to outlets used in the United States. ... A home away from home.

Finding the place was very difficult especially that one must take more than one means of transportation to get there (train + bus). It's also not very clear that the hotel is not directly on the street but rather deep down a side street. ... Everything was very good except for the availability of hot water which was spotty at times. Apart from that the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the hotel overall was very pleasant.

We would have liked to use the kitchen but there were no dishes or pots available. This was the only disapointment we had but it was significant. ... As a good place to stay. Very near the centre of Rome and very comfortable too.

Hotel arranged airport transfer at a very reasonable price. Driver arrived as scheduled, was polite and helpful and spoke English. He even had an umbrella for us as it was raining. ... We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms. There was plenty of room for all of us. Although old, they were exceptionally clean. ... We were very happy with our accomodations and would stay there again and recommend it to other travelers. ... There are take out pizzerias within a few minutes walking distance, bakeries etc. The Crown Plaza hotel next door has a very nice buffet in their casual restaurant(next to the piano bar) for a very reasonable price. There are two other full service restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Front Desk staff were friendly, funny and extremely helpful. ... An excellent place to use as your home base when touring Rome. If you're looking for luxury, this is not it. If you're looking for a place to eat and sleep at the end of a long day of touring, this is the ideal place. It's quiet, clean and spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all required utensils etc. for an extra fee. Included in the cost is a very adequate breakfast buffet.

A very good hotel for that price. Situated a little out of the centre of town, therefore much less city-loudness,but with good connections by bus. Rooms were very spacious and had a nice balcony.

Directions were practically useless coming from the center of Rome by car. ... Pool was closed for the season. ... Very convenient to downtown Rome and the airport (especially if you have a rental car) with spacious rooms, a nice breakfast, at a reasonable price. I would certainly stay here again.

There was no place to purchase drinbks snacks etc during our stay. The vending machine on the lower ground floor was out of order for most of our stay. This caused some inconvenience. ... Information on travel to the hotel would be appreciated - to include bus routes etc. ... Quiet, spacious, very comfortable. Excellent pool area - good breakfasts - a good enjoyable base from which to explore Rome

We had a wonderful stay at the Residence Aurelia Antica. The staff was always ready and willing to help. If there was anything negative, it would be the pool hours and the pool lifeguard. We found him to be difficult at times and irritated that someone might want to swim or lounge around the pool area. Otherwise, everyone was great! ... This is a wonderful place to stay because of the ease in getting to a taxi station. Also, this is in a quiet area that in extrememly enjoyable to walk around and enjoy the locals rather than the tourist.

Excellent swimming pool and tennis courts ... Lovely location but a little too far out from the city centre and you have to rely on public transport to get to and from the hotel as this time of year is too warm to walk. The Crowne Plaza Hotel next door is very helpful if you want to book trips with a local agency and it can be arranged for a free pick up point at the hotel when you are going on a trip.I personally prefer foods such as eggs ,cereal, cheese, cold meats, yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast and the breakfasts consisted of sweet cakes and brioches which I did not like. The nearest supermarket is about 15 minutes away by bus which is not very convenient. It is a super place if you have a car and you have time to get to know the location and the bus/metro times which make the holiday fun.I'll be using the hotel again.Thank you.

The staff was very helpful in selling and showing us where to buy bus tickets and how to get around Rome by bus. Included a very helpful flier on how to get to and from the hotel by bus/metro. ... Breakfast is a typical continental style breakfast, just make sure you get there early or else you get the left overs from the rest of the morning. Great pastries if you got an early start, though. ... Its good for families, away from the noise of the city. However, busses are infrequent and taxi fares quickly make up for the money we saved by staying outside of the city center. If you are comfortable with public transportation, its fine.

Instead of the 100% STUPID 'towel rules' by the pool, let it be sun beds for lease for eg €5 a day.We also missed sale of cold drinks by the pool. ... OK

There was some confusion as to the guarantied price for the second room but it was amicably resolved. ... It was very pleasant and we enjoyed the breakfasts and the quiet atmosphere. ... The staff was very helpful. ... Television service is all in Italian. For non speaking (Italian) it is difficult even to check the weather forcast. One station in English would sufice. ... Aurelia is a pleasant clean and reasonable place to spend your time in Rome. Bus connections are easy and accessible. The only drawback is that there are no choices of eating places nearby. There is one beautiful restaurant a block away and another large hotel restaurant but a bit pricy.

The rooms were not very clean. The bathrooms had mold in the showers. When staying in a hotel the towels are usually clean every day which they did not do. Also replacing used cups would have been helpful. The breakfast's were good and staff very courteous. Overall it was a nice place to stay just could be cleaner
