Lorenza gave us a warm welcome and also understood that after traveling in pretty hot weather, you just want to take a shower. Lorenza knows what people want, she is there without being pushy. We immediately had a great feeling about our stay. ... It was perfect. The location was ideal, we were able to do everything on foot and the room was quiet and comfy. ... / ... Lorenza! a positive extra. ... An absolute recommendation.

We arrived late morning and though our room was mostly but not completely ready we were able to leave our luggage and use the bathroom which was helpful. ... Very lovely modern renovation of an older building, very tasteful decor in a fresh clean contemporary style and immaculate. Nice bathrooms too. Staff helpful. Great location in Trastevere on a cobblestone alley in between a school and cafes at either ends of the street. Just what we were looking for as it was easy to access many restaurants, public transportation and also the Tiber river so we could go running. ... They held our luggage for us until early afternoon because we had to attend a special function in the morning and that was very appreciated by us. ... Rooms have windows on a courtyard and have bars on windows because it is on the ground floor which made us feel safe and private. Was quiet. Don't have to carry luggage up any staircase. Beautiful wood floors. ... A bed and breakfast that is warm and friendly yet courteous with professionalism. The rooms do look like the nice website photos whereas many other B&B's are really dingy and photos are misleading.

We enjoyed our stay. We liked the area of Trastevere. The B&B was located within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to see in Rome; but away from the constant hustle of the Coleseum etc. Lorenza and Daniela made us feel welcome.

The only thing which was unconvenient, that the bus (line 4) on sunday was very unfrequently We had to wait at the station for more than one hour, so it would have been better if we had had the advice to take a taxi. But that is the only thing.... ... we were very content and we will book the next time the same place ! and also recommand to other dutch people. ... no comments ... no ! ... A very good place, with a kind and helpfull staff. The BB-hotel is situated in a very, quite, nice area with lots of good restaurants.

The owner was not there, but the woman in charge was wonderful. She answered questions about places to visit and gave advice about restaurants in the area. She was very kind and helpful. This is a terrific place and location for a single traveler such as I. ... A terrific bed and breakfast with an especially good location. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean and decoration is spare, but lovely. The price is very good for the value. Having the internet available was also excellent for booking tours and reservations.

The rooms are clean and well planned out. The shower was particulary excellent and remaining bathroom suite bright and clean.Access to the internet was also a positive. ... Lorenza had arranged for a taxi to take me and my wife to the airport which was alot cheaper than the tyaxi to the b+b ... Value for money and situated in a great part of Trastevere. The rooms are well equiped and quite at night. I would have no problem returning to the b+b. To sum up i would recommend this to anyone who wishes to stay in comfortable surroundings

We were welcomed and helped to settle in most efficiently and warmly. ... We completely enjoyed our stay and found both Lorenza and her assistant, Daiela, warm and helpful. In fact, we ended up booking an extra night and are recommending it to some other friends who are going to visit Rome. She went beyond what was necessary to make us feel welcome in Rome. ... It had all the warmth of a visit with family, but you had your own room! Very comfortable and well located with assistance in any way you needed it. And wonderful limoncello.

Taxi driver got a little confused with all the small one way streets. Was suggested to have given the name of the small Piazza nearby but we did not know that. All good we got there. Very helpful to know the approximate cost of the taxi from the station. ... Very helpful regarding local restaurants to eat at - not necessarily your tourist places - great food. ... Again very helpful and organised a car to take us to the airport at an agreed cost. ... Refreshments always on hand in fridge plus tea and coffee. Use of computer and internet available at no charge. ... Good value, well kept, helpful staff particularly with advice on the local area and restaurants. Somewhere alittle different to the run of a mill hotel.

The web site only states Termini as the Train station however after looking at other web sites you can take a train to Trastevere Station and then take the #8 to Piazza Belli. As you are aware there is no markings at the bus stop or no way of knowing when to get off so it should be marked by the number of stop from the Trastevere train station. The H bus can marked by the first stop after crossing the Ponte Palatino Bridge. ... We loved the area of Trastevere because after a day of sight seeing you could come back relax and then you would step outside and have everything you needed without going to far. ... It is a perfect spot to be close to everything but feel like your away from all the business of Rome. It is modern/updated enough that it is very comfortable but it still feels Italian/European.

Arco del Lauro is a 'B&B'. That is why it was strange that we had to ask for breakfast - it was not automatically included although was arranged to us when we asked for it. ... Signora Lorenza (the manager?) was personally saying good-bye to us when we left. She was in all ways extremely friendly to us during our stay. ... The breakfast (included or not) should be clearly stated on the web site. ... Good location, clean, extremely kind and friendly staff (Signora Lorenza especially). A bit expensive, though.

The taxi driver and others who tried to help us find the place were confused as we were. However, I think that the great service more than made up for it. ... Great location and if you understand the access to the transportaion system this is a great location to get easy access to all the best spots.

I would recommend this place to a friend as it is in a very nice area of Rome with lots of charm. Frederico who welcomed us was always on hand to answer any questions give and out advice. The place was exceptionally clean and the idea of having your breakfast in a nearby Piazza was very appealing to us.

The truth is that we expected a clear sign of the B&B outside but there wasn't since it belongs to block of residences. ... The rooms were of a very good taste. The only flaw was that the B&B was smaller than expected, there was not a living room or somewhere to seat, and the rooms were a bit clistophobic ... Doesn't have any place for breakfast or seating area. The rooms do have a window but as they are on the ground floor, and not facing towards the street you may feel a bit clistophobic ... Very descent place, of a very good taste, good price. You feel like you are at home and not in a hotel

as we arrived very late at the airport (4 h delay caused by security problems at Zaventem/Belgium) the receptionist was so kind as to send us by sms all information what to do on arrival and was still waiting for us at 24 00 h at the B&B, it was such a relief at the time.... ... there was breakfast included... which was not very clear to us on the webside ... as certainly to be considered close to the centre and all events

The arrival experience was probably the only bad experience we had in Rome. It actually left a bad taste to the start our city break . I think it would be more helpful to arrange a taxi or transport (via the accomodation) so you don't get stung by dodgy rome taxi drivers. We took 2 hrs to get there and it cost us 70 Euros in total. Not to mention the taxi driver dropped us off in the middle of nowhere and we couldn't find our B&B for about half an hour. Not to mention the confrontation with the taxi driver when it came to payment!!! ... Our stay was amazing. Lorenza was fantastic and very accomdating! The area ended up being amazing and we ate some of the best Italain food ever in the small hidden quarters away from the tourist hype... ... Lorenza was extremely accomodating and took good care of our luggage, while we enjoyed the last part to our city break - - as our flight was later that day! ... The pictures of accomodation were a little deceiving... ... Amazing location. Great access to all the sights of Rome. Hidden away in the best part of Rome, with all fantastic little hidden italain restaurants!!! A must-stay!!!

I was disorganised so forgot to take the specific emailed directions with us!
We were early from the airport because we arrived by taxi not public transport.
Lorenza & Daniella are wonderful!
Yes, Room was just what was promised EXCEPT the SKY was OVERSOLD - We missed Wimbledon Tennis because it is Italian Sky and there were no Sport channels available!!!!!
... We were very relaxed at Arco del Lauro and stayed for all four nights in the end. Going to the Cafe for breakfast was fun. The location was ideal for sightseeing! We felt very safe, especially walking out in the evening as a mother and 15 year old son on their own. ... We expected Rome to be expensive so 110 Euros per night was much more expensive than I'd normally pay in the UK. ... Lorenza speaks perfect English and made us feel very welcome!
Lorenza's desire for perfection is appreciated! ... Convenient for sight seeing and a 'bit different' to a 'box' in a big hotel.

Only one problem - When the given taxi number was unavailable Federico was contactable by mobile but was only able to give us another number which had no taxis available. We were told by Federico that a taxi was no problem and would be there in 10 mins but in spite of trying over an hour before our train departure time we ended up missing our train. ... See above.

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Our only comment is that, as it is a B&B it does not have the same facilities as a hotel, eg: our luggage did not arive at the airport when we got to Rome, so they had to deliver it. This was a challenge for us wanting to go out sightseeing as the reception is not always open at the B&B, so we had to be there in the evening and early monring in case our luggage arrived. ... very clean, modern and in a great area - we loved the Trastevere area. Lots of privacy for a B&B.

The rooms were barely big enough for the bed and no room for luggage at all. Also the air conditioning did not work until the last day of our stay. We finally fixed it ourselves after asking several times to have it checked. Turns out it was just not plugged in. I guess it would have been an easy fix if someone had just checked it out as we were asked not to touch any of the plugs. Otherwise Arco del Lauro was excellent. The room was very clean but just to small for two people. We received excellent directions from Federico and also great suggestions on the best places to eat and go. If the rooms were not so small this place would be great.
