We caught a taxi which cost 75 Euros. We should have used the driver recommended by the hotel. We did use him to return to the airport and it cost 47 Euros. ... We were promised a room with a view but we overlooked another hotel, across the road. Also, we were promised a room with balcony but we did not see any balconies. But the hotel was very good. Very central. The bus stop was right outside and it was close to all tourist attractions, except the Colleseum. Fantastic location!! ... The best location in Rome! Very central. Friendly staff, good English, bank across the street, plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. A very traditional hotel with a lot of character. The lift is small but a bonus.

We had emailed the hotel in advance of our stay to request a taxi to meet us at the airport, however we did not receive a response from the hotel regarding this and when we got to the airport there was no taxi waiting so we paid for a city cab to take us to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the concierge made us pay another 45 euros for the taxi he claimed was booked for us that we had no knowledge of. So the trip to the hotel from the airport had cost us over 100 euros. ... We had a very pleasant stay in Rome despite the initial expense of paying for two taxis to the hotel.
The hotel is perfectly situated for what we wanted to do. ... Very hot rooms as the air conditioners are not very effective and have to be emptied every four hours at night.
Breakfast was not what it looked like in the web site photos. ... I would tell a friend to stay there as the location is good but to try and get a cooler room or a better air conditioner so he/she could sleep at night if going in the summer months.

TV and TV chanels (language) that are available in the room. ... Small old fashionable rooms, in the city center, perfect choice if you only want to sleep somewhere in the center.

Upon arrival it became apparent that the hotel was actually situated on the third floor of the building, meaning we had to take a lift. As I am terrified of lifts, this kinda put me of, however, we were lucky in that most times we used the lift, there was someone else there also, which made it a little easier. It was easy to use the steps down, much harder going up. ... I enjoyed my stay here. I found the lighting in the room kinda dim, although it was fine. The lock on the door also gave me bother at the beginning but the guy from reception was more than helpful and showed us the trick to it. Myself and my mum really enjoyed the breakfast time. We had a choice of cereal, toast, pastries, croissants, yoghurts, egg, other bread and the orange juice was beautiful. The staff were friendly and my mum had only to ask for a cappucino the first morning, the lady remembered each day thereafter, which was nice. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. As we had travelled to Rome to visit the Vatican, we found it a good location, only approximately a 20 minute walk. ... On arrival we took the train from the airport then got a taxi to the hotel which worked out kinda expensive. On departure we used the taxi service offered from the hotel direct to the airport for a fixed rate of 42 EUROS. I would definitely recommend this as it such good value. The car was very nice as was the driver, although he arrived 10 minutes late, but we made it in time. ... I would like to have been prepared for the lift as I hate them.
I also would advise anyone to book the hotel taxi service to meet you on arrival at the airport and book it for the return journey. ... I would describe it as a homely hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly. We had no major problems and liked being close to the Vatican. Rome is so spread out, many of the other hotels simply would not have been within walking distance, and taxis are costly in Rome. The breakfast was great and really filling. You could help yourself, and so did not have to wait on anyone to fuss over you. All in all a great place to stay, particularly for anyone on a budget.

The room & furnishings were a bit more tattered than expected and crowded, but not unpleasant. The bathroom was very nice and beds were comfortable. A pull-out sofa was used as a bed in our 'quad' and it was very uncomfortable. ... They helped arrange for a car to the airport which was prompt and pleasant. ... Unique. Third floor up a beautiful marble staircase or use the elevator. Rooms was a bit crowded for 4, but had character. A very handy location. Generous breakfast.

Although there was some confusion by Easy Jet as to a change to the scheduled arrival airport, the Hotel checked the flight details prior to sending our pre-arranged taxi, ensuring we had no problems. This was most impressive and greatly appreciated. ... Fairly basic, smaller than expected with odd problems with shower plumbing. But overall very satisfactory, helpfull staff, convenient location and would recommend to others. Would certainly consider returning when next in Rome. ... Reasonably priced taxi arranged without problem for transport to aiport. ... Modest hotel, fairly priced, efficient service, good location.

The room was efficient, but tight with our party of 4... and our room not as elegant as the photos on the site convey.
The hotel is a great value in a location that is ok once one works out the bus system. ... You could state which bus-line to take from the train station to the hotel. I believe it is number 17, if I recall correctly. ... The hotel is a great value in a location that is ok once one learns that city buses stop on the same block... a great breakfast.

We took a shuttle from the airport so we did not use the directions on the website. ... We booked a room for 4 people. One of the beds was a sofa-sleeper. The mattress was about 2 inches thich - not comfortable. The wallpaper was peeling throughout the room. In general, the hotel, expect for the lobby, was in a state of disrepair. The tables and chairs in the breakfast area were too big for the rooms so it was difficult to get in and out of the chairs. Chair upholstery was ripped or fraying. ... The location is a few blocks from the Vatican, not one block. The location is very good, though. It was easy to walk to many places from there. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel that can take you to the train station. ... The location was great but for the money we paid we expected a hotel in excellent condition and not one needing many repairs.

We were also met by a shuttle driver although he had to wait almost one hour and the staff was very nice. I will stay at this hotel always when I come to Rome ... beautiful bathrooms ... No towels or soap ... Better than average for the level in Rome. Centrally located near the Vatican and in walking distance to Trevi. Friendly staff and beautiful bathrooms

The only negative comment was that we could hear a lot of noise at night time. we stayed in room no. 10 and found it difficult to sleep with traffic noise and early morning refuse collection noise. Apart from this we were very pleased with our hotel. The location in particular was excellent. ... It would be great if you could recommend a few good restaurants in the locality. ... Good value, great location, comfortable and friendly. (A bit noisy though).

We noticed that the receptionist did not know very much about buses, musea etc. But he did organise the taxi's very well ... We liked the hotel a lot, but a few things were more run down than we expected. But the height of the rooms and the atmosphere was much nicer than we expected. ... A beautifull building, the rooms are a bit like a monastry
