The name of the neighborhood is Prati which is that part of Rome which is built adjacent to the Vatican on the same bank of the river Tiber. The area is very lively, full of shopping areas, restaurants, movie theaters. It is very well connected to all of Rome through the subway A line whose stop is only 100 meters from the apartment.

How To Reach Us

By plane: It is really easy to reach Appartamento Vaticano from both airports in Rome, Ciampino (34 kilometres away, approximately 32 minutes by car) and Fiumicino or Leonardo Da Vinci (29 kms, 31 minutes drive). There are all sorts of means of public transport to get to your apartment easily and fast, mainly due to the location of the hotel and the facilities at your disposal.

By car:
- From Ciampino airport:
take the SS7DIR motorway and go along Via dei Ciampino before getting on SS7 and then, A90 highway: stay on this track for around 24 kilometres, till exit 1, where you must get off. Continue along SS1 and turn right at Via Aurelia in the direction "Roma/ Aurelio/ Cittá el Vaticano". Once in central Rome, drive along Via Aurelia, Piazza Irnerio and Via Baldo degli Ubaldi; turn left at Via Angelo Emo, go along Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie and Via Candia. Turn right in Via Leone IV and go up to Piazza del Risorgimento. From here you will have to walk: just take Via Ottaviano up to number 9.
- From Leonardo Da Vinci-Fiumicino airport: get on the A91 highway towards the signs indicating the A1, Via della Magliana and Grande Raccordo Anulare. Continue along the A90 highway and follow the directions already described.

By train: From both airports you can reach Termini central station, either on the Leonardo Express leaving from Fiumicino or the Sitbusshuttle Bus at Ciampino. They both reach the train station in around 30 minutes. Once there, you may take a taxi to the hotel (it is a 10 minutes drive) or line A of the metro, in the direction Battistini: you must exit the underground at Ottaviano station and walk a few blocks to the inn: walk along Via Silla, turn right in Via Germanico and left in Via Ottaviano.
