The location is excellent for visiting many principal sights even by foot. For us the the clean and spacious room was a perfect base. We appreciated the closeness to the river. The host was very helpful and friendly.

WE ARRIVED QUITE LATE BUT THE OWNER WAS VERY ACCOMODATING TO OUR NEEDS AND WAS READY TO GREET US WHEN WE ARRIVED. ... EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL. THE MATTRESSES ON THE BEDS WERE A BIT TOO FIRM FOR OUR LIKING, BUT PERFECTLY OK. IT WAS A BIT COLD AT NIGHT SO SOME SPARE BLANKETS WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL. OVERALL THE ACCOMMODATION WAS EXCELLENT . ... WE HAD NO PROBLEMS. ... THIS WAS A LOVELY PLACE TO STAY AND WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN. IT IS IN A GREAT LOCATION - A NICE AREA OF ROME AND VERY CENTRAL FOR SIGHT-SEEING. THE OWNER WAS VERY HELPFUL AND NICE. HE SPEAKS SOME ENGLISH.

I was provided access to over twenty guide books and a map of the city. Also, the owner provided clear and concise information that answered all of my questions. ... Owner went out of his way to make sure that I knew that a transit strike was begining on the day of my departure. He was genuinely concerned that I made my flight. This is but one of many courtesies that were extended to me that would not be provided in a hotel setting. ... This bed and breakfast provides very clean and comfortable accomodation for one or two travelers at a competative price. The owners were very polite and extremely accomodating and informative. Provided exactly what is needed for people looking to see the city Rome.

Antiqua Roma exceeded my expectations. The area was great and easy to walk to everything. If you want to take a taxi or bus, you're just a block from Piazza Cavour where you can grab either. The room was lovely with plenty of space for lounging, sleeping, luggage, etc. We had the first room in the B&B to the left, with a balcony with a view, it was wonderful. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and there was always plenty of hot water. Enricio is a wonderful host and even arranged for a friend of his to drive us to the airport as the buses were on strike and the taxis were all booked. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were more spacious than it seems on the web pictures although one could get the impression that the shower and toilets are in the room, which is not the case. ... see comment no 10 ... Would come back again any time

Perhaps some extra attention to the fact that the place is ideally situated in the centre of Rome. And that there a quite a few nice places to have dinner in the direct surroundings. ... A place you have to go to when you are in Rome. Absolutely top!

Slightly difficult to find the right doorbell and floor. Luckily the proprietor was on site and could help us through a phone call. ... We were surprised by the comfortability and level of our room. However, the standard and decoration of the rooms seemed to vary a lot from what we could see. We were quite lucky to get a very good one, newly renovated, with wooden floors (as opposed to typical mediterranean stone tiles in the other rooms). Also - one small remark about the noise level within the B&B. The walls are thin and apparently neither hosts nor other guests seem to take into that into account especially in the mornings. We wanted a couple of sleep-ins but found ourselves listening to loud conversations, washing machines, and cleaning noise from 8 in the morning... Otherwise it definitely exceeded our expectations with regards to comfort and cleanliness! Equivalent to hotel standard. ... A very nice, small, cosy & comfortable B&B in a quiet yet central area of Rome. Walking distance to most major sights, and yet this area is wonderfully free of tourists and you actually get to melt into the real roman life in the many nice cafés and shops nearby. The room was comfortable, however the level of comfort and decoration seemed to vary from room to room (we had a wooden floor, private bathroom double which really equivalled a good hotel room). The only remark we would make is of the noise level - not so much the street noise but the noise within the B&B since the walls are thin and italians loud. :-) Still, I'd definitely recommend this B&B to anyone as it is great value, and quite a charming place to stay.

This hotel was very comfortable and an excellent location to access the major locations of this awesome city. The owner and staff were very polite and helpful. The only complaint I have is the noise of the area at night. If you are a light sleeper, don't expect to sleep well.

The owner/manager will e-mail clearer directions depending on mode of transport. It is worth pointing out that one should look for the building number as the the name only appears on a door intercom card. ... The ensuite room I had did suffer from noise from the communal bathroom and toilet. ... Staff will look after bags after checkout or in my case allowed me to use the room until evening as the room was not booked. Payment before last night of stay. ... I didn't have a car but if I had I don't know where it could be parked as the surrounding streets are packed with parked cars. ... Antique Roma B & B occupies part of a large old building in a relatively quiet part of Rome within 20 minutes walk of the main attractions. Friendly and helpful staff available during the day. Key provided for access at any time. Very clean, quiet room.
