When we arrived we were told that they only accepted cash. This took us for a suprise and once we told them about this website and it stated they accepted credit cards, they went out of their way to kindly accepted this fact and made no complaints about it.

The only issue was that Anne & Mary normally only take cash, but they were very accomodating and took credit cards because the voucher stated this fact.

They let us check out early and we were on our way in time to catch the train. It was a seamless experience.

Anne & Mary was truly a great find. When we return to Rome we would love to stay with them again. The hosts at Anne & Mary were fabulous and helpful.

Anne & Mary B&B truly enhanced our stay in Rome. Our hosts at the Anne & Mary B&B were gracious and very warm to us. They helped us out in any way they could. They made our stay comfortable and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend this place to others and already have.

Excellent location, very good value, very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to most of the monuments of Rome and close to the metro system and within 500 metres of a laundrymat. Two very good eating places are virtually next door. Book early as this place has repeat stayers

Our room was on the Via Cavour so consquently was very noisy,even with the windows shut. May be some double glazing would help cut down the noise level.

We were expecting to pay by credit card but there was a notice that cards would no longer be accepted. I would suggest that some travellers may find this more than a little inconvient.

Its very close to all the main tourist sites, secure you can come and go as you please, and there is a great Irish pub over the road where weary travellers can go and put their feet up!

The rooms were a bit smaller than they appeared in the pictures but clean and comfortable.

They do want you out of the room each morning so they can clean, neither bad nor good but good to know.

Whenever I return to Rome, I will look forward to staying at Anne & Mary B&B. Not only was the room clean and comfortable, but they went out of their way to make our stay even more enjoyable. All this at quite a reasonable price - a true gem in Rome.

They looked after our bags for several hours after checking out so we could explore more of the city.

Will only take cash. This caused a bit of a problem as we normally expect to pay by credit card.
However we were able to get cash from a cash machine down the road.

Only critiscm was that the air conditioning units in the rooms were quite noisy and were at high level so could not be manually controlled.

Explaining that the accommodation was part of an apartment block may have made it easier to locate.
Breakfast is taken within the kitchen of the family who own the apartment, which is a lovely way to meet other people and swap stories about what you have done and get recommendations on where to go.

I have already recommended the accommodation to others, describing it as convenient to the tourist attractions, beautiful and clean and with very friendly and helpful hosts.

We had specifically requested a back room away from the traffic but were given two from rooms even though we had book accommodations some 7 months in advance. The noise was a problem. Otherwise we were quite satisfied with the experience.

Airport transportation arrangements were excellent, prompt, with friendly, courteous drivers. Had a great welcome and was very impressed with the friendliness and the B&B itself.

Was pleased by the large ensuite bathroom. A lot larger than anticipated and spotless. The cleanliness of the room overall was excellent with a pair window that opened to a street overlook. Loved it!

Anna Maria, Ilaria, and Silvia were incredibly sweet and very helpful. Had an incredible time in Rome and the building and location were fantastic, everything in Rome was very accessible from the B&B.

As a service to future clients using this Romeby.com, you should provide a section to view guest feedback/reviews. This B&B is terrific but with no way to convey this to possible guests they may overlook it.

My luggage was delayed and the staff were very helpful--phoning the airline to check on it and being there to receive the bags when they were delivered.

A comfortable oasis close to Rome highlights with a knowledgeable, gracious staff. Annamaria and her daughters provide comfort at a very reasonable price. The security is also excellent for travellers concerned about such issues.

Great location...easy walking distance to all sites. Owners very nice and helpful when approached. No AC though, which wasn't terrible given our time of the early (late April)...but I would be hesitant not to have it during the warmer months.

There were no phones in our rooms or in the lobby area for our use.

We were expecting to use our credit cards to pay for our stay. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that credit cards were no longer accepted. Traveler's checks were also not accepted. We had to produce 1,500 euros in cash (3 rooms x 5 nights).

No, I believe that for slightly more money, better accommodations can be found.

We pressed the buzzer on the street upon arrival and no one answered. The door was opened by someone else entering the building and we when we buzzed at the second door we were let in and the woman who greeted us hardly spoke english, but was very nice.
I think it would have been helpful to know that the B&B was in a building shared by other residences/businesses.

This wasn't a big deal- but I gave my credit card number to secure reservation and it stated on the voucher credit card or cash payment. I assumed I could use my card but there was a sign posted in the hall saying credit cards couldn't be accepted. I ended up having to go to the ATM. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if I could have used my card.

No in room hairdryers- you have to ask for one. Even though there was an in-room air conditioning unit, it wouldn't turn on with the remote we were given. (I assumed it was b/c it was May when we were there).

Very near the Forum with lots of good value restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Communal breakfast table was an international affair..lots of gossip and exchanging views and experiences.

Arriving into termini, it was a little confusing as to which bus to take and where to get off. After a couple of trial and error buses, we found the place.

Some rooms face the busy street, and can get a little noisy in the morning, the room however was very clean and the staff pleasant. The location was great in terms of the proximity to major sites to see, overall I would recommend staying at the Anne & Mary B&B.

we asked for a pick up service, we never got an answer, so we took a cab by ourselves.
There was no sign at the door.

Th breakfast-room, was one big kichen-table, we didn't like to share our breakfast with other clients. We didn't order in advance and we took out breakfast somewhere else.

On arrival we were surprised to see a notice on the back of the front door stating that we could not settle our bill by credit card. Having given our credit card number at the timeof booking we had assumed that we would be paying with that. As we had not budgetted the cost of accomodation in our spending money we needed to use a hole in the wall cash machine for three days to get the cash to settle the account. Had we known the settlement terms prior to travelling we could have taken that money with us and saved on the exchange rate and commission charges associated with the cash machines.

The B&B did not accept credit card payment which was not stated on the website. We only found this out on our arrival. For safety reasons alone, it should be possible to pay by credit card.

There was no sign outside to indicate that we were at the right place. An obvious sign would be useful and helpful to know that you have arrived at the correct destination.

Unfortunately I feel the owner did a bait and switch on us. They refused to take credit cards even though their website indicated payment through credit card was acceptable. This put a damper on our trip. Also, the airconditioner in our room did not work.

For this price you might expect a better breakfast. Maybe for Italians this is Ok, but we are used to a better breakfast, e.g.

There was a demonstration of strikers going down Via Cavour and taxi could not take us to door, thereby, leaving us to make our own way down a block and a half with 5 suitcases. Not a good start!! THERE WAS NO RECEPTIONIST TO BE FOUND!!

Our room was directly over the street. The air conditioner did not work and leaving the window open was very noisy. Also, another demonstration the next day. Lighting in the room was almost non-existant, so reading was out of the question. Anne & Mary kept the door to the dining area locked except at breakfast time. The dining area was part of their living quarters. There was no phone in our room and no way to get in touch with them unless we knocked several times. A very uncomfortable situation for us.

There were no numbers on the doors on the street. My husband had to go in a store and ask where it was. We had to have four (4) keys to get into our room. One for the street door, one for the security door, one for Anne & Mary B & B and one for our room!!
