The lobby entrance is not clearly marked (it is to the left of the hotel entrance). This should be noted in the directions.

This hotel met all expectations. It was well located to all tourist attractions, spotlessly clean, and quite comfortable. It provided an excellent alternative to staying in the trevi fountain or spanish steps area at an affordable price. The romeby.com website is quite user-friendly and your service is prompt and more than satisfactory. I have already recommended this hotel and your service to several of my friends. Charles Shank

Stressful & tiring - although a taxi pickup from the airport had been arranged with the hotel, none appeared. We contacted the hotel to be told that the taxi broke down - Sorry. No other taxis!!?? We were left to find our way by bus into Rome & then wait for nearly an hour for our next taxi to pick us up from a line up at a taxi stand (we learned that taxis do not pick up from anywhere on the street). On arrival near midnight, the place did not look inviting - dimly lit, lacking any illuminated sign, more like a warehouse than a hotel entrance - we were sure the taxi had taken us to the wrong address until he persuaded us to ring a bell & speak into an intercom. It was the right place. But when we entered, it was a confusing space with no sign of where to find the lobby & nobody in sight. The elevator was out of service, so we had to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs till we found reception....Overall, it was not the most pleasant of hotel arrival experiences.

Front desk staff went out of their way to make our midnight arrival pleasant. At their own initiative, they called a restaurant nearby to ensure it would be open & serve us a meal. It was indeed close by, as easy to find as we were told,the food excellent & reasonably priced. Also, the breakfast selfserve eating area was lovely, clean & tastefully decorated; the food fresh, selection decent & service excellent. Excellent taxi & driver arranged by the hotel for our transport to the airport. Punctual & friendly driver voluntarily pointed out interesting Rome sights as we drove.

Easy walking distance to the Vatican or Spanish Steps & major shopping/restaurant areas. Lovely areas to walk in the vicinity of the hotel.

Very good location - walking distance to most places of interest. Very polite and helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a value for the money hotel.

The hotel was wonderful - quiet, helpful, so many maps etc. available for us.

The doormen were bliss, the breakfast was always abundant and warm - a good incentive to get up in the morning. Slight problem with hearing upper floors use the bathrooms, but nothing too bad. Showers were small but everything was clean. Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Wonderful, ornate rooms, somewhat small but quaint. Balconies overlooking the river. Great stay for the price, breakfast was fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful. Stay here!

We were very happy with our choice of hotel for our stay in Rome. It was very clean and comfortable. I would be happy to recommend this hotel for any of your customers. The hotel is within walking distance from so many of the tourist attractionss, its in an ideal location.

I'd say it was a very clean hotel. The rooms were a little small but I wouldn't let it put you off. It's a very central hotel in an ideal location and I would definitely stay there again.

The room was small but clean, air conditioned and acceptable. The hot water was not on when we arrived but was repaired promptly. The staff was nice,helpful, and friendly. The included breakfast was nice and was located a half block away at the sister hotel. It was very nice and the location was not inconvenient. Overall a very pleasant experience. We would stay there again.

Great hotel for the cost. Rooms are comfortable and clean with a large bed for couples. Very convenient to most tourist attractions in Rome with the added benefit of being in a quieter area. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Directions were clear but I mislaid them after a long cruise. The taxi driver was unaware that the hotel has two locations on the same street so he left us at Angelo Hotel rather than Hotel Angel. We had to walk with our luggage down to the correct location. We weren't the only ones caught in that dilemma.

The directions were a little confusing, but with some help we found it. The man at the reception desk was very nice and even gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner.

We chaecked out in the morning, but staff kept our bags until later in the afternoon, so that we could sight-see a little more without carrying our luggage with us. They called a taxi for us which was there promptly...very helpful and very accomodating.

It's a pretty nice place; however, the rooms
were smaller than expected. It has a great
location though, near the buses and a 12
minute walk to St. Peter's Square.
Also, I expected more 'frills': better
shampoos, lotions, etc. But the room came
with very minimal amenities.

The hotel was more difficult to find because of the one way system of streets around the area.

The air-conditioning was not working efficiently in our room and and although we kept if on full it was very noisy and inefficient. This gave us a disturbed night.
I would have rated the room better (above) if we hadn't had this problem, which we reported the evening we arrived. The air conditioning was supposed to be serviced the next day but it wasn't. We were not happy about this.

The rooms were very basic but clean. The only real problem was the noise at the hotel there was lots of banging and moving about of furniture until the early hours.
