I would describe ths hotel as charming, good location, I had a deluxe double room and one night at a junior suite. I would recommend either room. The bath was nice, the jacuzzi tub is a plus and the breakfast is very nice.

Room was away from street, thus VERY quiet...good. The breakfast environment, staff and food were wonderful...would be a big part of my choice to stay there again. Bathroom was small, small, small! For one person, OK, but if my wife was along, would have been unacceptable. Everything was super-clean, especially the sheets. Convenient to subway, walking almost anywhere; a very nice location.

I suspect, but do not know, that there is a wide variety of choices for two people. Since I was one person using a two person room I had no problems, but if I were two persons, I would want to know what my choices were in some detail. Also, I had to walk up and down a few stairs to get to my room (in an adjacent building, I guess), and I had no advance warning of this. If handicapped, might be an unpleasant surprise.

The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly.

The room was a little smaller than expected, but was clean and comfortable. There is a sitting room off the lobby where the staff brought us ice (we're Americans) and glasses so we could sit and enjoy our own cocktails before going out to dinner.

The sitting room right off the lobby is very nice. You should include that because the guests used it and spoke with each other. Very nice and very comfortable. Lots of guide books, newspapers, etc.

The only thing is that we had a room facing Via Vittorio Veneto and it was very noisy at night because of the traffic.

A well appointed above average hotel.
A very good breakfast to start the day.

The staff at the hotel were expecting us and they were very welcoming. As it turned out, we stayed in the penthouse for one night at the same price as our regular room, i thought this was really a nice thing for them to do!

My only comment about Hotel Alexandra is, it says in the description that there is a jacuzzi in the mini-suite room. We stayed in the mini-suite but alas, no jacuzzi!

You should include more about the surroundings of the hotel such as, restaurants, shopping, and how the hotel could provide you with tours in and around Rome.

We were greated and helped into the hotel. This was important because the entrance is up several steps. On arrival the man on the reception was very helpful and charming.

I have no complaints abut my stay. The room was an upgrade as well. I don't know if I would have liked the basic room because it was a bit small. But I had an excellent stay and would certainly consider going back again.

One tiny comment. Our room was in the front of the hotel. Outside the road had a grid, everytime a car went over the grid it made a noise. Not a problem for me as I slept with the window closed. But for someone else maybe it would have been a bit noisy.

Elegant but affordable hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing in Rome. Within steps of the Metro at Piazza Barberni, near famous fountain 'Tritone' and many excellent restaurants, good shopping area. Lovely old sycamores line the street at the hotel providing welcome shade in summer. Breakfast served each morning offers many choices. Rooms beautifully appointed in simple and classic taste. An excellent 3-star hotel.

I was a little surprised that there was no other way to get our luggage up to the hotel without using the steps from the sidewalk. There was a bellman there, but it was still an inconvenience because he didn't get there right away and we had to some of our heavy bags ourselves.

Not handicap friendly because you can only get to the lobby through the stairs. Difficult to get luggage up to or down from the lobby because only access is the stairs.

As you know, Rome is not an easy city to enter by car. Once we figured out where we were. It was very easy to find.

We were promised a view of the city and that's what we got. We stayed in Suite 600 which had a magnificient view of the entire city. We were in a three room suite with a terrace. When we go back, I will definitely stay at the Alexander again.

we were picked up by friends so directions were never requested and the address and location are well known and therefore very convenient! also wonderful to have the metro so nearby.
the rooms are wonderfully quiet, not so spacious but efficient, and especially quiet on such a busy street. the bath was a little tight but relative to the price the whole stay was wonderfully affordable and we would definitely stay there again!

Ilike very much the room compare with others hotels I stay in Italy where I pay a few euros less than in the Alexandra. But if I wouldn´t made the reserve by internet I would pay about 100 euros more. We made a good desition.

I cannot comment on the directions to the hotel provided online as I was already familiar with the location of this hotel.

The porters, maids and the young gentlemen who worked in the breakfast room were all very polite and helpful. There was a young lady who worked on the front desk occasionally who was also very polite. My only complaint was one of the gentlemen (didn't get his name) who worked at the front desk. He never smiled and wasn't very friendly or helpful in my opinion. However, all the rest of the staff who worked at Hotel Alexandra were top notch and I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it.

Hotel Alexandra is in an excellent location on Via Veneto (which I consider to be one of the prettiest streets in Rome) within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Borghese Gardens, shopping and dining. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the rooms very tastefully decorated.

I booked the accomodation for my parents for their wedding anniversary. They were upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the Via Venetto. They were delighted with the services the hotel provided and intend to return to the hotel in the future.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful. Our room was small, but very adequate...and exactly as we had expected. We did, however, request a room in the back of the hotel based on comments we read on this website. We were given a room on the front, directly over the entrance to the hotel. The view was great -- but the noise at night was significant. Otherwise, this hotel was a terrific place to stay.

Located on a beautiful street, right down the street from Hard Rock Cafe. It's also located on Piazza Barberini, which is the location of a convenient internet cafe, for those who are interested in staying connected via the internet. It's convenient to all sightseeing, and easy access to great restaurants. The only downside was the noise at night.

I'd recommend it to anyone -- just suggesting that they insist on a room in the back -- or bring earplugs!
