Although the add implied that there would be a person who spoke english on premises, this person was not physically available. Communicating with the person staying at the B&B was a bit challenging. Fortunately, I'm functional with Spanish, so we could understand each other. ... If you are looking for a good guide in Rome or a real 'B&B' feel, then this is not the place for you. Since I didn't need much help navigating the city, this did not pose a problem. The basic room is located near a trolley that connects to the Metro, so travel was pretty straight forward. You definitely need a sense of independence to stay here.
