Via del Governo Vecchio is situated in the heart of ancient Rome, right in the centre of the old part. The street starts from Piazza dell'Orologio and runs to Piazza Pasquino and the famous Piazza Navona, of which Via del Governo Vecchio is one of the main exits. The road, where circulation is limited to that of residents' cars, and indeed the whole district has preserved the atmosphere of old Rome, despite its central position, in terms of architecture, old craft workshops, fountains, neighboring lanes and piazzas that unexpectedly reveal themselves to the visitor. Everybody knows one another in the neighborhood, and human relations are still intense. Foreign tourists are always warmly welcomed, and quickly enter into the spirit of the environment, chatting to locals and obtaining information and suggestions. The bus stops for major lines are just 2 minutes' walk from here.

How To Reach Us

Coming by Plane
from Ciampino airport: from there, you can take local train, which will bring you directly to Termini. Then you can take the bus line n. 64 and get off at bus stop Corso Vittorio Emanuele (Piazza San Pantaleo). From there just a few steps to reach the apartment: you take the Via S. Pantaleo and, once in Piazza Pasquino, you turn right in via del Governo Vecchio where the apartment is located at number 86.
from Fiumicino airport: take the shuttle train service to Termini "Leonardo Express". From there, take the bus line n. 64 as above.

Coming by Train
The nearest railway station is Termini. From there, you can take the metro line A, direction Termini (Rail way station) and from there, take the bus line n. 64 as above.

Coming by Car
Coming from the north, take the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare-Ring Road) and exit at Salaria, direction city centre. Then follow towards Porta Pinciana and via Veneto. Our apartment is located in a restricted driving area (ZTL) and private cars have access only after 6 pm. If you arrive after this time drive along Via Veneto up to Piazza Barberini. Take Via Delle Quattro Fontane, turn right onto Via del Quirinale, Piazza del Quirinale, Via 24 Maggio. Turn right onto Via 4 Novembre, take Via Cesare Battisti, Via Del Plebiscito, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and then turn right onto Vicolo Del Governo Vecchio. Take Piazza Della Chiesa Nuova, Via Della Chiesa Nuova and then turn right onto Via Del Governo Vecchio. You will find the apartment at number 86. If you arrive before 6 pm you follow the above instructions up to Via Veneto where you will find a pay-to-park garage. From there take subway line A to Termini railway station and from there, take the bus line n. 64 as above.
