 Via del Governo Vecchio is located in the center of monumental city and in a restrict circle you will find lot of the most celebrated monuments of Rome, such as Piazza Navona with the church of Santa Agnese due to the famous architect Borromini and the fountains due to his competitor architect Bernini, the Pantheon with the funerary monuments of the last royal family of Italy, the churches of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, S. Ivo, S Ignazio, S. Andrea della Valle, and many others, not to mention S. Peter Cathedral immediately beyond the Tiber, the most prestigious Palaces of roman princes, such as Palazzo Doria Pamphili, Palazzo Colonna, Palazzo Venezia, Palazzo Spada, Palazzo Farnese, Palazzo Altemps and many others.
