 At fifty meters from home there is the Tram n°8 stop, that in a few minutes leads to Trastevere Railway Station (where the train to/from Fiumicino Airport stops), in ten minutes to Trastevere ancient district, in a quarter to the full historic center, to Largo di Torre Argentina (a few steps to Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Capitol Hill, Foro Romano, all most famous and important sites of the city.
Monteverde is probably the greenest district in Rome. It's name, Monteverde, means Green Mountain! One of the entrances to Villa Doria Pamphili (the largest public park of the city) is at 300 meters from home. At 20 meters there are the gardens of Largo Ravizza; at 800 meters there are Gianicolo (with a park and a mangnificent view of Rome) and Villa Sciarra (an old and very evocative park). But Monteverde is also a commercial district. Every kind of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pizzerie are at a few meters from home. At 100 meters there is every morning one of the biggest and more convenient food market of the city. |
